HARRISBURG, Penn.—Credit union staff in Pennsylvania are stepping in front of TV cameras this year to help consumers improve their finances.
The Pennsylvania CU Association explained that as part of media buys for its successful iBelong CU awareness campaign, credit unions are sponsoring a two-minute monthly segment during the WPMT Fox 43 morning news show.
The segment, called Fixing Your Finances, will be seen in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York media market.
Each segment will feature a credit union spokesperson providing financial tips and advice. The first segment, expected to run in February, features Members 1st FCU CEO Bob Marquette. Marquette planned to discuss how credit unions help people save money and assist members with basic management skills. A total of 11 segments are planned throughout the year.
