Prospera Credit Union Takes Over Management Of OWOCU

APPLETON, Wis.–The $178-million Prospera Credit Union is taking over management of the daily operations of the $25-million University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Credit Union.

The move follows the departure of UWOCU’s president, according to a statement from the credit union.

“As you are aware, the credit union experienced a change in leadership this past May following the resignation of our former president,” said Board Chairman Rick Van Drisse. “Due to this transition, the Board has now made the decision to enter a 60-day agreement with Prospera Credit Union to oversee daily operations. A merger is not part of this 60-day agreement.

“We want to assure you that the credit union is safe and secure, we are committed to continue providing quality service and that you can conduct your business as usual. Prospera has relevant expertise that can be of assistance to our credit union. We are working toward simple improvements and are grateful for Prospera’s assistance during our search for permanent leadership.”

UW-Oshkosh Credit Union has 2,552 members.
