HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – November is officially “Movember” at a number of credit unions nationally, where men are not shaving as part of a nationwide effort to support men’s health.
As the New Jersey CU League noted, “Movember” is the time to “put down the razor and get excited about the hairy month ahead in the fun and quirky Movember movement meant to spark conversation and raise funds for men’s health issues.”
The league is challenging men at credit unions across the Garden State to grow mustaches and beards, donating $10 per participant to the cause. For each day participants go unshaven, the league will donate $1 to the Movember Movement. Among those participating is NJCUL President/CEO Greg Michlig.
The league is collecting periodic photos of participants throughout the month.
