NEWBURGH, N.Y.– Two men allegedly made off with more than $200,000 during a robbery of the branch of Hudson Heritage FCU here.
According to police, two mean wearing ski masks forced their way into the branch, employees followed protocols, and no one was hurt. The branch remained closed for the remainder of the day.
Local media quoted one woman as saying, “I don’t think my money’s that safe here.”
It was the second robbery at the branch in less than nine months. In December 2014, a robber stole more than $20,000 at gunpoint.
