MEDFORD, Ore.–Rogue Credit Union has raised $8,500 to support the victims in the Umpqua Community College shooting.
The credit union said it will be raising the funds through month’s end, and plans on matching up to $7,500 to help those affected.
"Our motto is giving local, whatever communities we are in we like to give back as much as possible that is what we do here at Rogue. I just hope everyone can step up and donate whatever they can," said Roseburg Branch Manager Chris Gray in a statement to local media.
Rogue Credit Union plans to open a branch in Roseburg, Ore., home to the college, later this month. It is still deciding how it will distribute the money.
