Secured Advantage FCU Names Katia Marini-Nunez CEO

GREENVILLE, S.C. –The $60-million Secured Advantage FCU has named Katia Marini-Nunez CEO.

Katia Marini-Nunez

Marini-Nunez joined Secured Advantage in 2022 and has served as interim CEO for the past year. Prior to joining Secured Advantage, she served in several executive-level roles within the credit union industry, including the helms of St. Francis, Turbine and BIP credit unions between 2010 and 2023.

"Under her leadership, Secured Advantage has expanded access to affordable financial services and lending programs – such as the credit builder Starter Loan – as she aims to break down barriers that keep hardworking individuals form achieving financial stability. Long term, the credit union seeks to obtain Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification – a move that would further strengthen the credit union’s ability to serve those who need it most," the CU said.

“Credit unions have the power to change lives, and financial security should be within reach for everyone,” Marini-Nunez said. “We are not just providing accounts and loans; we are creating opportunities, building trust, and empowering our members to take control of their financial futures.”
