HOUSTON—Seven people have now been arrested on charges related to an armed robbery of a branch of Resources Credit Union in Pasadena, Texas.
In all, some 23 people have been arrested as part of a larger robbery ring.
The most recent person to be arrested in connection to the robbery is Keith McGee, 24, whom the police and FBI allege was part of a robbery ring. The credit union was robbed in July of 2014.
Arrested last week and charged in the case were Raynard Gray, 31; Leroy Carlton Richardson, 34; Howard Bernard Glaze, 22; Christopher Braziel, 27; and Kwhun Dominique Johnson, 22. Another defendant, Sonny Floyd Pervis, 25, is in custody in Louisiana on unrelated charges and is expected to be transferred soon to Houston, according to police.
All seven men are charged with aiding and abetting bank robbery, which carries a maximum 25-year sentence in federal prison and a possible $250,000 maximum fine. The minimum sentence for a conviction is seven years, which must be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed for the underlying crime.
Earlier, police said the robberies were sophisticated and involved several suspects armed with guns and the use of multiple vehicles for each incident, including some stolen vehicles. Many of the heists were violent, with suspects shooting at people.
