WAKEFIELD, Mass.–Odyssey Merchant Services (OMS) has announced a special program for credit unions that upgrade their branch cash advance POS devices for EMV.
The company noted in making the announcement that many CUs have not yet considered the need to ensure their branch cash advance services are EMV-chip capable.
“Odyssey’s program for credit unions now includes a one-time cash bonus of $100 per branch that is upgraded, plus EMV-chip capable POS devices at no expense to the credit union and tokenized and encrypted transaction processing to improve security and reduce PCI compliance risk,” noted Ted Keith, president and CEO of Odyssey. Keith said that while OMS normally provides free POS devices to credit union branches, the special one-time $100 cash bonus offer is only valid for credit unions that contact Odyssey by Friday, August 28.
Keith also noted that OMS is well-positioned to provide credit unions other payment-related services, such as consumer loan payments, deposit account funding and a refreshing change in providing merchant services for their business members, stating “Our service structure, pricing philosophy and member-centered solutions are designed around how credit unions handle their members.”
Keith stated that each business member can receive a free 30-minute IT consultation if needed for PCI compliance and that each credit union and business member is assigned a dedicated account representative.
