Stolen Construction Equipment Used To Steal ATM

Security footage of ATM theft.

SPARTANBURG, S.C.—An ATM was stolen from a branch of Founders FCU here.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

When deputies arrived the ATM was already missing from the side of the building and a commercial-size boom lift was still idling in the parking lot. Security footage shows the lift was used to load the ATM into a red-and-silver Dodge Ram pickup truck. Damage was done to a portion of the building and the truck’s door in the process. Police said the lift has been identified as belonging to Blue Line Rental and appears to have been taken from the construction site for the Greenville Health System Children's Hospital.
