KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C.—A thief or thieves stole an ATM from Mid Carolina Credit Union here.
When police responded to an alarm call at 3:30 a.m. they arrived to find the entire machine had been removed from its concrete base and was missing. Police said a large piece of construction equipment—which had earlier been reported stolen—had been used to dislodge the ATM and to load it into another vehicle. No description of the suspect or suspects has been released.
