Sunmark FCU Names New President And CEO

Frank DeGraw, Sunmark

LATHAM, N.Y.—Frank DeGraw has been named president and CEO of the $465-million Sunmark Federal Credit Union.

DeGraw is succeeding Bruce Beaudette, who had led Sunmark for 28 years and who announced his retirement last fall. DeGraw had been interim CEO.

DeGraw has worked at Sunmark for 16 years. He told the Albany Business Review that Beaudette had been training and working with him to smoothly handle the transition.

“Frank has shown tremendous leadership working as second to retired CEO Bruce Beaudette for seven years, through the transition and then during this interim transition," said Edward Aidala, chair of Sunmark’s board, in a statement. "The board was committed to performing their due diligence in making this decision on behalf of the Sunmark members. We’re delighted to have Frank at the helm, ensuring this continuity of strong and secure leadership and vision for the future of Sunmark.”

Under Beaudette’s direction, Sunmark grew from eight employees and one office to 170 employees and $430 million in assets.
