KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man has been arrested here for allegedly robbing a credit union using what appeared to be a machete.
The Kansas City Police Dept. said it has not identified the man arrested as a suspect in the robbery. But according to police the
suspect entered the Mainstreet Credit Union near N. 82nd Street and State Avenue, threatened employees, demanded money and had a weapon that appeared to be a machete.
The FBI said the suspect was wearing sunglasses, a face covering, a hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and tennis shoes.
He left the CU on foot with an unknown amount of money. He was later located and taken into custody near the credit union, police said.
