Temenos Formally Completes Acquisition Of Akcelerant

MALVERN, Penn.–Just a week after announcing that Temonos’ fiscal year 2015 earnings were up by 23%, the company announced it has formally completed its merger with Akcelerant, bringing the latter into the Temenos portfolio.

Akcelerant, a Pennsylvania-based provider of software and services to the financial industry, was purchased by Switzerland based Temenos in February 2015. Today, approximately a calendar year from the date of this sale, the two companies— and each of their respective product portfolios, said they have become one.

As part of the combination, the companies announced:

  • Akcelerant CEO Jay Mossman has been named the new president of Temenos North America.
  • Akcelerant will maintain its presence and employee base in North America, operating under the new Temenos brand.
  • All Akcelerant and Temenos products and solutions have been renamed, and realigned under newly created Temenos product suites. For example, Akcelerant Framework – used for account origination, loan origination, service, and collections and recovery – has been renamed the Temenos Lifecycle Management Suite.
  • Visitors to the Akcelerant website will be redirected to a newly designed Temenos.com.
  • The merger is the latest in Temenos’ growth, and opens the company to new markets in North America.

“Temenos has been driving financial institutions toward the digital future for over 20 years as the only company specialized in financial software,” said Mossman. “Throughout this transition, we remain focused on fulfilling our commitments to Akcelerant's customers, and we thank them for their continued support. This exciting merger positions us to continue expanding our delivery of world-class services and solutions, and we look forward to growing with the financial industry as a unified company, now and into the future.”
