PEARLAND, Texas–Associated Credit Union of Texas hosted is second “Coffee With a Cop” event at its offices here.
The event offers a forum for citizens to stop and talk to Pearland Police Department officers.
“I’m hoping to do this monthly and am challenging other local businesses to jump on board. It’s a great opportunity for the community to get to know those that protect and serve them,” Debbie Keith, regional vice president, told local media.
The credit union reported that members who came by to do their regular banking also stopped to chat with the officers, eat donuts and have coffee. One young member even got a badge to be an “honorary officer” and was “pinned” by new Pearland Officer Zachary Passante.
Coffee with a Cop is open to all residents, regardless of whether or not they are ACU members.
