MANCHESTER, Conn.—Police say thieves used a stolen pickup truck to rip open an ATM at Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union early Sunday, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Officers responded to the credit union’s Broad Street branch around 3:20 a.m. after an ATM burglary alarm was triggered, according to Lt. Nick Reinert. When they arrived, they found the exterior ATM door had been torn off. Investigators later determined the suspects used a stolen white Ford F-250 to force it open.
Security footage shows three masked suspects wearing hoodies and gloves carrying out the theft. The stolen truck was later found abandoned in Glastonbury, police said. The investigation is ongoing, the Stamford Advocate added.
