BOULDER, Colo.—Two CUs here have announced merger plans.
The $484-million Premier Members FCU and the $328-million Boulder Valley CU said they are pursuing a “merger of equals.” If approved, the combined operation would have 65,000 members and 17 branches. Premier Members CU will be the surviving name, but Boulder Valley CU will be the surviving charter. Premier Members has absorbed CUs via merger in the past, including in 2010 when it merged with Colorado United CU and Farmers Union FCU.
