GREENVILLE, Mich.–Two Michigan credit unions have named new CEOs.
Astera CU has named Martin R. Carter to lead its operations.
“The board of directors of Astera Credit Union is extremely pleased with the appointment of Martin R. Carter as our new CEO,” said board Chairman Daniel J. Smith in a statement published by the Michigan league. “Martin brings energy, experience and a creative thought process to the position. We look forward to Martin leading Astera to the ‘next level’ while bringing a new level of enthusiasm to the Astera Credit Union experience.”
Carter has more than 30 years of credit union industry experience. His expertise spans many areas, including branch operations, marketing and business development, human resources and training, compliance and risk management and investment services.
Carter previously served as CEO of Parkside CU in Livonia beginning in August 2012.
Meanwhile, in Taylor, Mich. Susette Schrim has been named the new CEO at Total Community CU. She replaces Phil Matous, who retired.
