JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.—The $716-million River Region Community Credit Union here has received approval from NCUA to merge in $566-million Missouri Credit Union, based in Columbia, Mo., the credit union reported.
The deal awaits approval from Missouri Credit Union’s members.
Harold James, president and CEO of Missouri Credit Union, said the deal is “one of the most promising opportunities for the credit union's future in 45 years.”
“This merger will enhance our ability to improve financial services for our members and new communities across the state,” River Region President and CEO Rick Nichols said in a release.
