CHAMPAIGN, Ill.–The U of I Employee Credit Union is making a slight tweak in its name and branding: the credit union, which serves the University of Illinois, is changing its name to the U of I Community Credit Union.
The credit union said in a statement that the only change for members will be that more people can join as it expands to a community charter for anyone who lives or works in Champaign County, Ill. The name change is effective Feb. 1
