Union Pacific Of Arkansas FCU Introduces New Name

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.–Union Pacific of Arkansas FCU has changed its name. The CU is now known as UP Arkansas Federal Credit Union.

CEO Linda Stanton told the Cornerstone Credit Union League that “we changed our name to UP Arkansas FCU to fully represent who we are as a credit union today. "Keeping the initial’s UP in the name pays homage to our past; however, we pronounce it 'up.'"

The credit union was originally chartered in 1933 as North Little Rock Missouri Pacific Credit Union. In 1992, it changed the name to Union Pacific of Arkansas FCU after Union Pacific Railroad merged with Missouri Pacific Railroad/

The third oldest credit union in Arkansas, UP Arkansas FCU has $27 million in assets, and serves more than 3,500 members.

The new name and logo also come with a new tagline: “Up lifting our community with exceptional financial services!”
