Valentine Joins CUNA Mutual Board; Marzec Named New Chair

Mike Valentine

MADISON, Wis.—Michael Valentine, CEO at Baxter Credit Union in Vernon Hills, Ill., has been appointed to the CUNA Mutual board of directors.

He replaces director Eldon R. Arnold, who is retiring after more than 12 years of service. Arnold is the retired CEO of CEFCU, Peoria, Ill.

While at BCU, where he has been CEO since 1994, the credit union has grown to 190,000 members and $2 billion in assets.

“BCU’s strong track record of success and growth under Mike’s leadership during very challenging economic times are a testament to his success as a leader,” said CUNA Mutual CEO Bob Trunzo. “He will be a tremendous addition to our organization and the Board of Directors as we continue to focus on how to serve credit unions and their members.”
