MODESTO, Calif.– Valley First Credit Union introduced a custom ice cream truck that appeared in downtown Modesto’s Independence Day Parade.
In order to show appreciation to the communities it serves, the $1.02-billion Valley First said it gave away 2,500 complementary popsicles.
“Valley First is proud to make good and sweet things happen with the debut of its new ice cream truck in the holiday parade,” the credit union said.
The parade has been held in Modesto since 1874.
In addition to the parade, Valley First will also celebrate Member Appreciation Day on July 26th by hosting an event at its downtown Modesto J Street branch, where it said it will provide ice cream and family fun, as well as financial education workshops and seminars with topics ranging from budgeting, saving and investing to specific needs of the credit union’s community.
‘Making Sweet Things Happen’
“At Valley First Credit Union, our members are at the heart of everything we do,” President and CEO Kathryn Davis said in a statement. “We are deeply committed to serving our community and showing our appreciation for their continued support. By providing financial education and giving back, we are able to help our members achieve their financial goals. We look forward to celebrating with everyone and making sweet things happen in 2024 and beyond.”
Valley First has approximately 80,000 members.
