SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. –Vermont FCU has launched the Vermont Federal Foundation, which it said has been established to “uplift the Vermont community and bolster organizations dedicated to aiding those in need.”
The credit union said the Vermont Federal Foundation will “extend invaluable support through financial donations targeting the following key areas” of impact:
- Sustainability. “Living in the Green Mountain State, we understand the importance of protecting our environment and supporting initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint.”
- Building Strong Communities. “We are Vermonters, serving fellow Vermonters. Families, children, and teens in our communities need and deserve our support. Let’s help build strong communities right here in Vermont.”
- Food Security. “We live in a state full of natural abundance. No one here in Vermont should go hungry or worry where their next meal will come from. Let’s help to end food insecurity.”
- Affordable & Stable Housing. “All Vermonters deserve to have a place to call home. The housing crisis in Vermont is real, and we can make a difference and help Vermonters find appropriate housing.”
‘Empowering Vermonters’
“As a community-focused institution, Vermont Federal is deeply entrenched in the well-being of our members and the communities we serve,” VFCU President and CEO Jean Giard said in a statement. “The establishment of the Vermont Federal Foundation propels us further on our mission to empower Vermonters by equipping them with the necessary resources and support to thrive.”
