RICHMOND, Va. — The Virginia Credit Union League said it will host its inaugural InnoVAte Conference in October, which it described as a new “premier event designed to meet the evolving needs of credit union professionals.”
The event replaces the former GROWTH Conference and CEO Forum hosted by VACUL, and will offer a “fresh perspective on the future of credit union operations and member services.”
The meeting is set for the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront from October 9-11.
According to the league, highlights of the event will include:
- Cutting-Edge Sessions. “Discover actionable insights with sessions on the latest advancements in fintech and emerging technologies”
- Opening Keynote. Lessons Learned in the Fintech World: What it Takes to Get Ahead When Making Fintech Decisions
- Cracking the Code: How Credit Unions Can Win Over Gen Z
- Unlocking New Non-Interest Income
- Networking Opportunities: “Connect with industry leaders, innovators, and fellow professionals during our dedicated networking sessions and receptions.”
‘More Than a New Name’
“InnoVAte is more than just a new name. We’ve designed this conference to provide credit union professionals with a variety of ways to improve their services and operations,” VP-Events and Education Mary Amyx said in a statement. “So, it’s not only a great learning opportunity for attendees, but also a chance to come together with other like-minded people who are all committed to making a difference.”
