VolCorp Says It’s Going the ‘Second Mile’ With Fee Holiday During Q4

NASHVILLE—VolCorp said it will provide its members with a “fee holiday” during the fourth quarter of 2024.

VolCorp said member credit unions that who utilize check processing, wire processing, and ACH services will enjoy the holiday during the final quarter of the year, resulting in more than $1 million in waived fees for affected members.

According to President and CEO Jeff Merry, the decision reflects the “great appreciation” VolCorp has for its members that have provided support through recent large-scale payments technology conversions.

The Second Mile

“These projects, not to mention the everyday work our credit unions endeavor, illustrate and are made successful in large part by the ‘second mile’ approach,” Merry said in a statement.

According to Merry, the first mile of service is that which is expected, but the second mile is where partners “make a true impact on one another; reaffirming that VolCorp prides itself in being a second-mile organization. This is why we are different…We run, not just the first mile but the second mile, as well, because we know you, our members, are running, too. We remember VolCorp was created on and for a purpose. And that purpose is you."
