ONTARIO, Calif. – The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues said they are now looking for 20 credit union leaders to join the second annual REACH Innovation Group.
Offered in coordination with the Filene Research Institute, the REACH Innovation Group fosters the development of new ideas and innovations for credit unions. Applications are due March 25.
“We were thrilled with how the group came together to learn about and embrace innovation during the inaugural REACH Innovation Group last year,” said Larry Palochik, SVP of Member Solutions at CCUL. “Beyond developing our credit union leaders, we see real potential in the new ideas that were developed and can’t wait to see what our participants create this year.”
Modeled after Filene’s i3 Program, the REACH Innovation Group leverages the Filene Method innovation curriculum to bring an innovation competency to California and Nevada credit unions. With coaching from Filene and CCUL, participants will create, test and implement financial products, services and business model ideas. Participants will present their ideas at the 2016 REACH conference, according to the leagues.
“There has never been a better time to be a credit union. If credit unions want to be the choice consumers make both today and tomorrow, we have to solve their biggest needs,” said Tansley Stearns, chief impact officer at Filene. “Our methodology for innovation helps credit unions gather insights to solve those problems and test them in the marketplace. The REACH Innovation Group helps credit unions put ideas into action. We are honored to continue our collaborative effort with the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues.”
Candidates must have demonstrated leadership, passion and a collaborative spirit to be considered. Only 20 candidates will be selected to participate.
Applications will be accepted until March 25, 2016 with interviews and selections to take place immediately following. Interested applicants can learn more and apply at Filene.org.
