RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Will application program interfaces (APIs) revolutionize CU apps?
CO-OP Financial Services will pose that question in a free webinar set for Aug. 11. Titled “Will APIs Revolutionize Your Apps?” the webinar will explain what application program interfaces are, explore their history and provide an overview of the range of API technologies available to credit unions to enhance their mobile banking offerings to members.
“With APIs, credit unions can quickly and easily expand the capabilities of their existing mobile banking application, and at the same time more tightly integrate these features and ensure consistent branding,” said Stan Hollen, CO-OP president and CEO. “Credit unions can meet and intensify member demand, while retaining the flexibility to tuck only those new functions into their mobile app that work best for the institution.”
The one-hour event begins at 11 a.m. PT and features:
- Terrence Griffin, chief information officer for CO-OP
- Tony Hildesheim, chief information officer for Redwood Credit Union of Santa Rosa, Calif.
- Amanda Smith, senior manager, technology and strategy for CO-OP
CO-OP offers a comprehensive suite of mobile APIs, consisting of customizable versions of CO-OP mobile/virtual products, including the new RealPay by CO-OP person-to-person payments network; CardNav by CO-OP, a new mobile card controls and alerts application; bill pay, mobile remote deposit capture, Member Rewards by CO-OP and a CO-OP Shared Branch and CO-OP ATM locator.
