America’s Credit Unions said Bakari Sellers, a former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, political commentator, attorney, and a two-time New York Times bestselling author, will give the closing keynote at its Congressional Caucus.
The event will be held from Sept. 8-11 in Washington.
“Bakari Sellers is a speaker our members can relate to and will be inspired by his story,” ACU President/CEO Jim Nussle said in a statement. “From The start of his career at the South Carolina state house as the youngest legislator in state history, to becoming a voice folks seek out to help shape culture movements – like his father before him – is laudable. His life-long efforts mirror the credit union mission of helping and fighting for the people and communities they serve.”
