Would-Be Robber Foiled By Plain Clothes Cop

WORCESTER, Mass. — A woman here didn’t get very far in an attempt to rob a branch of Leominster Credit Union.

After passing a note to a teller demanding cash, the woman was confronted by a Worcester police sergeant who was working a plain clothes detail inside the branch. The police officer stepped in and arrested Colleen Montalvo, 46, who has been charged with unarmed robbery.
