NEW YORK–There is a lot of talk about leadership, including in CUToday.info’s The Corner, but perhaps there is even more than you thought. According to Inc. Magazine, when it searched “leadership” on Google it received 479-million results—or about 1.5 for every man, woman and child in the United States.
The reason, Inc. Magazine posited, is that “it’s a difficult concept to define, perhaps because it means so many things to different people.”
To capture just a few of the views on leadership that exist, Inc. assembled 100 different quotes on leadership. Among CUToday.info’s favorites:
- "A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves." --Lao Tzu
- “You don't need a title to be a leader." --Mark Sanborn
- "Leaders must be self-reliant individuals with great tenacity and stamina."--Thomas E. Cronin
- "Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration motivated by passion, generated by vision, produced by a conviction, ignited by a purpose."
