PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas–More than 2,000 people representing credit unions from more than 60 countries around the world gathered here this week for the World Council’s World Credit Union Conference. It was an opportunity for most to learn what was taking place at credit unions in other parts of the globe, and CUToday.info has extensive coverage.
The meeting included a welcome from the prime minister of the Bahamas, several keynotes offering predictions on how the world in general and financial services in particular are changing (including at least one “shocking” prediction but also reassurances that credit unions have one advantage other providers don’t), fundraising, breakout sessions on more than a dozen topics, and much more.
