RUNCORN, Cheshire, U.K.–Halton Credit Union (HCU) said its members received a 2% dividend on their savings during the last financial year.
Tracey Done, HCU marketing and development manager, said the “incredible” amount was double the amount paid out last year for its savers.
Shareholders who save with them receive a dividend from the group’s end-of-year surplus. The 2% sum was declared at the credit union’s annual meeting.
Halton CU said its 2016 member survey revealed satisfaction levels of 91% being “extremely happy” and 7% being happy, with 394 responses from 400 questionnaires
Other services included with HCU membership include free life savings assurance, which helps members’ families in the event of their death by doubling their shares to be left for loved ones and also paying off any outstanding loans from their insurance.
“We really value the feedback we receive to ensure Halton Credit Union provides a service that is second to none, and when we achieve such positive reactions from our members it makes all the difference.”
