NZCU Auckland Wins People Helping People Award

AUCKLAND, New Zealand–NZCU Auckland has won the coveted People Helping People award at during the Gala Awards Dinner 2016, here hosted by Co-op Money NZ, the trade group for co-operatively owned credit unions and mutual building societies in New Zealand.

The People Helping People award is presented to the credit union that has made a significant and positive impact in their community. Over the last 50 years, NZCU Auckland has helped thousands of individual members in a variety of ways including offering exceptional service, sound advice and going the extra mile when needed.

According to Co-op Money NZ, fittingly NZCU Auckland’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) has continued to be upwards of +68 in the last few years. Globally, an NPS of +50 is considered an excellent score across industry types.

For the seventh consecutive year, NZCU Auckland has also awarded 20 school scholarships to children and grandchildren of its members. This annual scholarship has become a permanent fixture in the community’s calendar.

The Co-op Money NZ Gala Awards Dinner was attended by more than 130 credit union leaders from all over New Zealand. The Gala Awards Dinner was preceded by the Co-op Money NZ 2016 Annual Conference.
