5 Roll Out New Mobile Apps From CU*Answers; Contest Winner Named

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–The CU*Answers Internet Retailer Support Center (IRSC), a new support desk for credit union virtual channel project managers, has launched five new mobile apps this week. Cal Poly FCU, Century Heritage FCU, Ripco CU, Calhoun Liberty Employees CU, and Allegan Community FCU. The credit unions have deployed mobile apps to both the Apple Store and Google Play Store for download. CU*Answers credit unions interested in the free app must complete all prerequisites to be eligible.

CU*Answers’ said its mobile app offering gives access to It’s Me 247 Mobile Banking, is branded to the credit union, is a place for branch locations, and allows credit unions to display graphical advertisements, among other features. 

“Credit unions need to be accessible via multiple channels like apps, mobile web, and desktop because you never know which channel will appeal most to members,” said Kristian Daniel, CU*Answers IRSC Account Executive. “That’s why we’re working hard to put apps in the portfolio of all our clients.”

Separately, CU*Answers announced its first High Level Overview (HLO) demo for 2016 will be held in Iowa. This is a four-hour discussion of the CU*Answers CUSO and demo of the various components that are included in their core product, CU*BASE®. In addition to the robust core system, the session cover CU*Answers’ online banking product It’s Me 247 and other digital strategies, like mobile web and app.

“It’s actually hard to go over everything in just four hours since CU*Answers does so much right in the core system,” said Mike Gruber, Regional Account Representative at CU*Answers. “But I hope to give a good idea of all the things our products and services are capable of delivering.”

The High Level Overview will be held from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on March 1st in the Des Moines area and March 2nd in the Coralville area. For more information, contact Mike Gruber at mgruber@cuanswers.com.

Separately, CU*Answers announced the winner of its 2016 Mobile Banking contest. As part of CU*OverDrive, the CUSO’s low maintenance marketing package for credit unions, contests are run quarterly for two consecutive months as a way of gathering member email addresses or increasing enrollment in credit union services such as e-statements, bill pay, and debit cards. Contest enrollment is free to all CU*Answers credit unions with an optional full collateral print package for an additional charge. The contest prize is supplied by CU*Answers, however, credit unions may purchase an exclusive prize to ensure their credit union has a winner.

 A member of Muskegon Co-op Federal Credit Union in Muskegon, Mich. was the chosen contest winner of an Xbox One with Kinect in the most recent contest, selected by a random drawing of entries from 61 participating credit unions. The contest resulted in an overall 6.63% increase in the number of members logging in to It’s Me 247 Mobile Web Banking during the contest period of January and February compared to the two months prior to the contest.
