MALVERN, Penn.– Akcelerant, a provider of software and services, coordinated an afternoon of community service in conjunction with Akcelerant’s charity partner, the United Way.
Akcelerant partnered with the Friends Association for the community service event. The Friends Association assists homeless and nearly homeless families in stabilizing their lives by maintaining permanent housing and sustaining employment. The non-profit organization offers support through a two-year homeless prevention program designed to transfer life skills and develop self-sufficiency in their clients. Nineteen Akcelerant employees, armed with rags and rakes, spent the afternoon gardening, raking, hosing, scrubbing and preparing the local family shelter. By the end of the day, Akcelerant had left its mark on an apartment and the front and back yard of the brick building in West Chester, Penn.
