AUSTIN, Texas –Malauzai Software, a provider of mobile and Internet banking SmartApps for community financial institutions, has announced the integration of Apple’s Touch ID technology with mobile banking as a part of the Malauzai Mobile Only Experience (MOX Everywhere) suite of banking products. Several community financial institutions now allow users to access mobile banking through fingerprint biometric technology, including:
* Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union and its division Aggieland Credit Union in Austin, Texas
* Fort Community Credit Union in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
* Alabama Teachers Credit Union in Gadsden, Ala.
Touch ID, a finger print recognition feature, when embedded in mobile banking, enables users to log in to the app using their fingerprint instead of a traditional login. Account holders now have instant access to account information such as balance and recent transactions through an easier, more secure process. The fingerprints are stored on the mobile phone, making it difficult for would-be hackers to access the credentials.
