WINNIPEG, Alberta– Assiniboine Credit Union has opened a newly renovated branch here as part of a project led by NewGround Canada.
The new 5,100-square-foot branch opened its doors with a new design as a tenant improvement. According to NewGround, the branch is located in one of the most exciting urban development’s in Winnipeg, True North Square. The True North mixed-use complex is designed to be a focal point for downtown Winnipeg, offering exciting commercial and residential spaces, wrapped around a public square where important events, especially Winnipeg Jets hockey, can be celebrated together.
NewGround said Assiniboine’s new branch has a front row seat to the square, occupying one entire side with an entire glass wall providing unlimited views.
“The long, curved space is subtly broken down into a series of experiences with a variety of seating arrangements, defined by the services ACU has to offer,” NewGround said. “The environment celebrates the ACU brand promise to its community through the entire design, including color, space, digital displays, and a stunning green wall.
Faster Design
NewGround said it provided design and construction management services for the project, with the stronger and faster adaptive design approach allowing both organizations to work in harmony to produce a space quickly and efficiently.
The project was completed in eight months.
“We are proud to be Assiniboine Credit Union’s partner to design their Winnipeg branch,” said Greg Ward, president at NewGround Canada. “This project stands as a true testament of how NewGround delivers our projects stronger and faster, no matter what circumstances are thrown our way.”
