LAKEWOOD, Colo.– CU Service Network announced that Tessa Bonfante, COO of Denver Community CU, has been elected to their board. Bonfante’s achievements in the credit union industry and collaborative mindset will make her a strong addition to the board.
Bonafonte holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management and has over 25 years credit union experience across multiple areas including strategic planning, branch operations, compliance, consumer lending, business lending, marketing, and community outreach. Throughout Bonafante’s career, she has remained rooted to credit union principles that embody the credit union difference and believes integrity is the most important leadership quality, the company said.
“I’m excited to serve with a talented team of credit union executives that seek to positively impact our communities through collaboration,” said Bonafante.
As a devoted credit union and community enthusiast, Bonfante served on the MWCUA chapter board and Golden Triangle Steering Committee and currently serves on the CU Direct Connect Master Committee, Credit Union Lending Source Board of Managers, and Grandview High School PTO Board.

During Tessa’s tenure, Denver Community has grown in asset size by almost 50%, from $204 million to $304 million. In 2016, Denver Community was recognized as one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For by the Best Companies Group. Also in 2016, Mountain West Credit Union Foundation awarded Denver Community with Credit Union of the Year.
