AUSTIN, Texas–CBANC, a professional network for community bank and credit union professionals, has unveiled what it said is a robust set of new features for members, including a reputation-based leaderboard, an interactive social feed and an industry-specific curated daily newsfeed.
“These significant product enhancements come as CBANC’s member engagement has increased by 386% year-over-year since January 2015,” the company said. “CBANC’s new product innovations represent a major leap forward in the company’s ability to help community financial industry (CFI) professionals. By giving members the unique ability to connect with industry leaders and other peers throughout the country on a deeper level, CBANC and its network can lead the evolution of community banking together.”
“Over the past year, CBANC has undergone a metamorphosis as the network became an essential business tool for all levels of CFI professionals,” said CBANC CEO Bryan Koontz. “We’ve taken the public, general-purpose model of LinkedIn and created a state-of-the-art, private and secure place for our members to connect with each other, share information, stay up-to-date on industry news and build their careers and professional reputations.”
According to CBANC, the new features include:
- The CBANC Leaderboard: This reputation-based leaderboard recognizes members for their contributions within the community based on how others rank their responses to questions and organic commentary. The leaderboard serves to help members better understand and learn about their peers within the secure network.
- The Wire: Much like other social media feeds, The Wire serves to enhance the ways members share information and interact within CBANC. Members can post photos from a conference they’re attending, follow other members and vendors with similar interests or share articles with their followers.
- The Daily News: Separate from The Wire, which distributes information from user to user, CBANC powers the new daily newsfeed—a collection of relevant articles and industry news sent directly to its members’ inboxes.
The company also named John Mauro as director of product management for vendor solutions.
