GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers Network Services has announced the general availability of the DataBP Generation 3 backup solution, which the company said builds upon the success and durability of previous solutions by improving reliability and simplifying operations.
Built on the latest technology from backup industry leader Veeam, the DataBP Gen 3 appliance backs up virtual systems automatically using military grade encryption technology and speeds data recovery by maintaining backup copies onsite as well as in the cloud at CU*Answers’ SSAE 16 data centers, CU*Answers said.

We are seeing on average an 80% improvement in backup performance over our last generation appliance.”
DataBP Gen 3 features data encryption, WAN acceleration to optimize data transfers to offsite storage, and data deduplication to minimize storage requirements. Recovery times for virtual machines are reduced significantly from the previous generation solution.
