CU*Answers Opens Enrollment For Executive Boot Camp Series

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers has opened enrollment for the second year of its executive boot camp series. Enrollment is open to staff from credit unions within the cuasterisk.com network. The first two boot camps graduated 18 employees.

The “What Makes Data Valuable” and “Building Solutions as a Co-Op” boot camps are designed to give credit union employees hand-on experience in understanding database content and how a software solutions cooperative is designed to build products and solutions.

As credit unions move to multiple delivery channels, the pressure to support multiple tool solutions to make each member experience become successful is becoming a requirement. The baseline foundation for trending and marketing through the use of data and working with CU*Answers as developers has begun.

Each graduate of the first two boot camps met in quarterly two-day sessions with input assignments throughout the year to complete specific goals.

“Being a part of this group not only exposed me to the data architects and programmers within the network but also connected me to other credit union professionals who, like me, are excited about data analytics,” said Sarah McNeil, United Advantage NW FCU. Making those connections were the most valuable part of this experience for me.”

Randy Karnes, CU*Answers CEO added, “Both CU*Answers and boot camp attendees got a chance to find the middle ground between vendor and customer perspectives, and in doing so, enhanced our team network, chances for innovation and organizational environment.”

Separately, CU*Answers announced that Members Source Credit Union in Merrillville, Ind. has become the newest owner of West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, CU*Answers. The $75 million credit union represents approximately 7,700 members.

Members Source CU becomes the 127th current CU*Answers credit union owner.

“With ten new owners added since the 2015 fiscal year, there remains a strong commitment within credit unions to engage with other peers in the collaborative processes offered within a true cooperative business model, such as CU*Answers,” said Scott Page. “They want to exercise their equal voting privilege for helping set the future direction of their technology partner.”
