CU Student Choice Hosting Webinar on College Awards Letters

WASHINGTON– Credit Union Student Choice will host a free national webinar to help families better understand college award letters so they can make educated decisions about their options for college.

The webinar will be offered March 22  at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET. Registration is available at www.studentchoice.org/national-webinars. Led by Student Choice College Access Counselor Patricia Poplicean, the company said the webinar will inform attendees about:

  • What’s included in a financial aid package
  • Comparing letters: Net Cost vs. Net Price
  • Professional Judgement
  • Accepting/Declining Awards

“This presentation is part of an ongoing series of quarterly national webinars hosted by Poplicean,” the company said. “The webinars have allowed thousands of attendees to benefit from content on preparing for college, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), student loans, and student loan repayment.”

Recordings of past presentations can be found at https://www.studentchoice.org/national-webinar-recording/.

“Helping young adults and families make good decisions regarding educational funding is a core principle for Student Choice and our partner credit unions,” said Poplicean. “These webinars are a free, simple way to deliver much-needed guidance to students and parents during a critically important stage in their lives.”
