DUBLIN, Ohio – New enhancements have been added to CUBoardMembers, which provides online Board Packets, built-in video conferencing, private discussion boards, online Board voting, automatic tracking of Credit Union Policies, and compliance monitoring.
The enhancements will help make board meetings and other committee meetings more efficient, said E Space Communications, which offers the CUBoardMembers solution.
“CUBoardMembers was always intended to make board meetings as convenient as possible for the board and the support staff,” said Keith Hardin, a spokesperson for CUBoardMembers. “Several credit unions approached us saying that although the tools helped make the meetings more organized, could they be expanded to also make them more efficient?”
The company said that based on suggestions from CU staff and board members, new capabilities have been added. During the meeting, minutes can be taken and viewed by all participants in real time. Matters can be voted on electronically with the results posted automatically into the minutes, the company said.
“As the meeting progresses through the agenda, everyone automatically follows along from topic to topic and is shown the supporting documents for each item. This helps keep everybody on the ‘same page’,” the company added.
In addition, topics can have recommended durations posted. The system reminds everyone how long they’ve been on each topic versus the expected duration and provides a prediction of when the meeting will end.
