SAN DIEGO – Online credit union video interview site CUbroadcast is reporting that after launching five years ago it has produced its 500th episode. The episode featured Diana Dykstra, president/CEO of the California/Nevada CU Leagues, discussing dual membership, reaching Millennials, regulation overhaul, and Bitcoin’s block chain threat to credit unions.
Mike Lawson, who’s been in the credit union industry since 1994, launched CUbroadcast in November 2010 looking to add another medium, video, to credit union news and features. He has since interviewed the industry’s leaders, innovators, success stories, and game changers.
CUbroadcast has also helped many credit unions and vendors tell their stories via video, along with attending and covering many of the industry’s conferences – even launching the first-ever CUbroadcast Studio Lounge at CUNA’s 2015 Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
“I am so grateful to all our guests and sponsors who have supported CUbroadcast during the past five years,” Lawson said. “I obviously wouldn’t have made it this far without them – along with our growing audience. Creating these thought-provoking and entertaining conversations that ultimately help make this industry better has been incredibly rewarding. I get to meet the coolest people on planet earth and help tell stories of an industry that literally changes lives on a daily basis. So stoked!”
