CUSN Announces New Member CU; Board Election Results

LAKEWOOD, CO– The Florist FCU, located in Roswell, NM, has joined CO-OP shared branching through CU Service Network. The credit union will provide access to 5,300 branches to its members who are located all over the country. The Florist FCU will also open their doors to members of other shared branching credit unions that are in the area.

“Shared branching has been part of our master plan for years,” said CEO Ken Bell. “We are a limited-charter credit union serving members nationwide.  So, shared branching is one of the most critical parts to serving our distant members.  And, it was one of the easiest programs to implement.  To say we are happy to finally have this up and running is an understatement.  We can’t thank [CU Service Network] and CO-OP enough for their support.”

Meanwhile, CU Service Network held its annual meeting at Cool River Cafe in Englewood, Colo., with special guest speaker Stan Hollen, CEO of CO-OP FS, who provided a Shared Branching update.

At the meeting, it also announced results of its board elections:

• Mike Williams, incumbent, President/CEO of Colorado Credit Union in Denver, Colorado was re-elected for a 3-year term.
• Keith Cowling, incumbent, President/CEO of Credit Union of Denver in Denver, Colorado, was re-elected for a 3-year term.

• Carla Hedrick, President/CEO of Denver Community Credit Union, in Denver, Colorado was confirmed as Chairman.
• Mike Williams, President/CEO of Colorado Credit Union, in Denver, Colorado, was confirmed as Vice Chair.

• Mark Uden, President/CEO of Mutual First Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska, was confirmed as       Secretary/Treasurer.
