PLANO, Texas–With input from marketers from several credit unions, Catalyst Corporate said it has unveiled six Virtual Marketing Kits for its “Checking with Benefits” products.
Checking with Benefits is a rewards program that can make a credit union’s checking accounts more attractive to members and potential members, strengthen member engagement with the credit union and generate fee income. The program revolves around a mobile app, called BaZing, which provides retail discounts, cell phone protection and identity theft protection among its many benefits, according to Catalyst.
“The new turnkey marketing kits are specifically designed to help credit unions promote this dynamic service to their members,” said Terry Young, vice president of communications and marketing at Catalyst Corporate.
The campaigns were developed in conjunction with members of the Cornerstone Marketing/Business Development Council, which allows members to share best practices and build relationships with individuals that face the same workday challenges.
The six themed campaigns are:

- Want More. Get More.
- Benefits and Beyond
Each campaign kit, which can be viewed at www.catalystcorp.org/r/bazing, contains two visual options and a variety of tools that allow credit unions of all sizes to market the Checking with Benefits program to members.
Campaign components include:

- Postcard
- Web banner
- Newsletter article
- Emails (3)
- Social media suggestions
- Blog posts
- 30-second radio spot
- 15-second on-hold script
Materials can be used as-is by inserting the credit union’s logo and contact information in the appropriate spots, or they can be further customized to accommodate individual credit union branding requirements, Catalyst said. Aside from any additional customization and printing, these materials are available at no cost to credit unions enrolled in Catalyst Corporate’s Checking with Benefits service.
Council members providing input to the Checking with Benefits campaign development included Kelley A.
