Corporate Central's Morgan Named to ECCHO Board

MUSKEGO, Wis.– Corporate Central Credit Union’s Senior Vice President / Chief Operating Officer, Nancy Morgan, has been appointed to the board of the Electronic Check Clearing House Organization (ECCHO). ECCHO was created twenty-five years ago to facilitate the electronification of the check, was at the forefront of the Check 21 effort and worked hard to achieve full-scale image exchange.

In response to her newly appointed role, Morgan stated, “My first ECCHO operations committee and board meeting provided valuable networking and information sharing. I am honored to represent the interests of credit unions and be associated with the ECCHO board.”

The ECCHO board is responsible for providing a neutral forum that supports industry advocacy of the check payment system, continuing efforts to make the check payment system more efficient and establishing the rules that provide structure and fairness.

ECCHO is the only national clearinghouse with a comprehensive set of check image exchange rules. ECCHO provides support on a range of topics from rules, exception handling and legal challenges facing the image check payment system.

ECCHO CEO, David Walker, stated, “The credit union segment of the industry includes about half of all financial institutions in the U.S. and it is important to have that segment represented in the ECCHO decision processes. As an ECCHO Director, Ms. Morgan is an advocate for all credit unions and ECCHO is very pleased to have Corporate Central Credit Union join the ECCHO Board.”
