WASHINGTON—Credit Union Student Choice, the foremost provider of higher education financing solutions to America’s credit unions, announced that it has hired two experienced professionals to help credit unions achieve their goals in the education finance market.
Thresa Tyus joins Student Choice as Manager of Strategic Partnerships. Tyus is based in the Dallas, Texas, area and will take on client management and acquisition responsibilities in Pennsylvania and the Rocky Mountain and Northwest Pacific regions. Prior to joining Student Choice, Tyus spent more than ten years in the higher education finance industry. Much of that time was spent with TG, a nonprofit corporation that promotes educational access and success so that students can realize their college and career dreams.
“We are thrilled to welcome Thresa to Student Choice,” said Jim Holt, Student Choice’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Her deep knowledge of student lending and outgoing personality are a perfect fit for this position. She will be an excellent resource for our credit union partners.”
Additionally, the Student Choice Marketing department has added Monica Giesler as its Marketing Analyst. Giesler formerly served as Director of Marketing for Day Air Credit Union in Dayton, Ohio, and will use her expertise to help Student Choice client credit unions identify opportunities, analyze trends, and develop plans to efficiently yield new loans and desired portfolio performance and growth.
“Monica brings a wealth of knowledge in both credit union marketing and student lending at the credit union level,” said Michael Weber, Chief Marketing Officer for Student Choice. “We know she will offer innovative, well‐crafted solutions for our credit union clients to make the most of their student lending programs.”
