HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—GrooveCar reports it has signed five more credit unions to its online auto buying resource.
Joining the GrooveCar program are Extra Credit Union, Warren, Mich.; Triboro Postal FCU, Flushing, N.Y.; Coast-Tel FCU, Salinas, Calif.; and New Jersey Law and Public Safety CU, Trenton, N.J.
The signings come at a time when new car sales are on pace to exceed 16 million units in 2015 and October car buying is up 13.6% over last October.
“Credit unions realize the time is now to capture member interest at all stages of the car buying process,” said Robert O’Hara, VP of strategic alliances at GrooveCar.
O’Hara reminded that there is a great deal of competition to capture the attention of the car-buying member, and that the GrooveCar program is quick and easy to install for CUs with a “go-live” process that can be completed in under an hour.
“Our professionals from tech support to product branding, work with credit unions on all levels to streamline the process,” said O’Hara. “The comprehensive resource provides consumers with tools to access a virtual test drive, auto research portal, comparison tools, auto build-out features, history reports, safety reports and car values—all branded to the credit union while cross-promoting the other related products offered.”
GrooveCar plans to unveil a new auto buying platform in 2016. The new auto buying resource, which includes new marketing products and promotional materials, will be released in the first quarter of 2016.
