HONOLULU–HMSA Employees’ FCU here is converting to the i-POWER core software system from EPL, Inc. The $70-million HMSA EFCU serves more than 3,500 members.
“During our evaluation of core processors, EPL stood out as the only provider that really understands the challenges facing all credit unions,” said Gloria Omandam, director Credit Union Administration at HMSA. “EPL learned who we are and what we’re all about, and designed a custom package of next-generation solutions to fit our unique needs. Their entire team has been easy to work with and highly responsive always – even with the time difference between Hawaii and Alabama. We’re confident that with EPL as a strategic technology partner, we will be able to grow and better serve our diverse member base now and into the future.”
Birmingham, Ala.-based EPL said i-POWER’s intuitive user interface and robust functionality create an operating environment in which efficiency is the name of the game. “Thanks to its open-architecture design, software customization and module integration are both easy and seamless. HMSA will be utilizing a number of EPL’s modular solutions, including CUe-Branch (online and mobile banking), Business Accounts, i-KNOW (business intelligence) and several others,” the company said.
“HMSA is an ideal partner for us, as they are eager to work with a dynamic technology provider that can help them streamline operations, grow intelligently and elevate their members’ experience,” said Robin Kolvek, CEO at EPL, Inc. “The reason our customers continue to flourish is simple – we, along with our partners at Dedagroup, Intech and Juniper Payments, are laser-focused on developing innovative software solutions and forging true partnerships with our customers by delivering responsive services. It’s what we do every single day.”
